Due to unforeseen practical matters - and with the full cooperation of the Bailliage of Canada - the Competition Committee has taken the difficult decision to change the host location for the 2024 International Final of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition from Kelowna/Calgary to Lisbon in Portugal.

As Chair of the Competition Committee, I shall be eternally grateful to Bailli Délégué Tony Catanese and his team, particularly Lois Gilbert, for their understanding and cooperation in enabling the decision to be made.

I would like to thank everybody involved and now eagerly anticipate staging a highly successful competition as part of a programme based in Lisbon from Wednesday, October 16 to Sunday 20th.

Bailli Délégué Paulo Amado and Chancelier Richard Roestorf are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone to Portugal where, just as was the case in Canada, a comprehensive programme is being arranged in the finest traditions of the Jeunes Sommeliers Competition.
